laist.comSilence represents two different things in this story. It stands for the people and how they are devastated by Gods silence. It also represents the silence of all the victims in the camps.
Silence is one of the worst things to me in this story. I feel so bad for these people and how they lose their faith in God because throughout everything they went through he was silent. He did not help them. This also bothers me because when people are getting beaten and mistreated the people had no option but to be silent and watch as their friends and loved one either got mistreated or killed right in front of their own eyes. If they were to speak up they would be tortured or even killed.
